To help us reproduce a problem, please include your device model, OS version, which game you were playing, and the difficulty. A screenshot helps a great deal.
No to both. There is no sign-in, and the App makes no network requests at all. Every game, including the AI opponents, runs on your device. It works in airplane mode.
On your device only. We never see them. You can erase them in Settings → Delete my game records, or by deleting the App.
Yes. Tap ? in the top-right of any board to see the controls, rules, and win condition for that game without leaving the match.
That is legal. In Xiangqi a Cannon captures by jumping exactly one intervening piece — the "screen" — and the screen may be any single piece: yours or the opponent's, including another Cannon. This differs from Korean Janggi, where a Cannon may not jump or capture another Cannon.
In Xiangqi, a player who has no legal move loses, even when not in check. Unlike Western chess, this is not a draw.
Every game has Easy, Medium, and Hard on the board screen. Changing the difficulty starts a new game.
Tap the sound line at the bottom of any board, or use Settings from the home screen.
Yes, by default. You can also pin it to light or dark in Settings.
