Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account is required. The seven board games work offline. In version 1.1, nearby place search and optional street maps use the internet. Puzzle practice and Test expedition work without GPS or travel.

How do I test Treasure Expedition in version 1.1?

Open Treasure Expedition → Test expedition → Original test course. Start, choose a spot and use Simulate arrival. For GPS play, choose Around me → Find nearby places, select 1–5 places and start. If no mapped places are available, use Add a public spot yourself while standing at a publicly accessible place.

Why is arrival not confirmed?

Enable precise location, stand safely in an open area near the selected pin and retry. The App needs two fresh readings within the check-in area. Do not enter closed or private places. You can end the expedition and choose other spots; already earned stamps remain.

Does it work after an update?

Install the update over the existing App to keep its local records and settings. Expedition progress is saved separately. Do not delete the App as a troubleshooting step unless you intend to remove its local data.

Where are my game records stored?

On your device only. We never see them. You can erase them in Settings → Delete my game records, or by deleting the App.

Can I read the rules while playing?

Yes. Tap ? in the top-right of any board to see the controls, rules, and win condition for that game without leaving the match.

Why did the Cannon in Xiangqi jump over another Cannon?

That is legal. In Xiangqi a Cannon captures by jumping exactly one intervening piece — the "screen" — and the screen may be any single piece: yours or the opponent's, including another Cannon. This differs from Korean Janggi, where a Cannon may not jump or capture another Cannon.

Why did the game end when I still had pieces on the board?

In Xiangqi, a player who has no legal move loses, even when not in check. Unlike Western chess, this is not a draw.

The AI is too easy or too hard.

Every game has Easy, Medium, and Hard on the board screen. Changing the difficulty starts a new game.

How do I turn off the sound?

Tap the sound line at the bottom of any board, or use Settings from the home screen.

Does the App follow my dark mode setting?

Yes, by default. You can also pin it to light or dark in Settings.
